Picture
In 2005, I completed a 9 month intensive certificate program in Scientific Illustration at the University of Washington. It was great, we covered territory from anatomy to botanic illustration, and points in between. This drawing is a gopher skull and a chicken skull, proportionally accurate, double size. Although I haven't pursued a career in Scientific Illustration, the experience helped me as a painter. When I am feeling doubtful or frustrated about a painting - I can remember this: If I can draw a proportionally accurate chicken skull, I can draw anything.
