ENCAUSTIC PAINTINGS

Encaustic a medium made up of bees wax and damar varnish. It is compatible with oil paint, and there are all kinds of interesting things you can do with it. In 2024, I was given a set up for encaustic painting, and began teaching myself how to make paintings with encaustic wax. Many attempts ended up in the garbage, or accidently melted. These are some finished paintings that I was really happy with. These were all created in 2024 - or early 2025.
